Online Live Courses
These courses are conducted online live with an instructor using Zoom. The same information in our classroom courses are covered during this live interactive online course.
Online Live courses include the Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician (LAFT) course, and the National Licensed Aquatic Facility (NLAFT) course. The LAFT and NLAFT Online Live courses meet the pool operator certification requirements for North Carolina. Certification earned entirely through live online instruction is not accepted by some states.
Online Live Courses descriptions
For the Online Live courses students will receive an invitation to join the live session about 4 days before the class. You will need to ensure that you are registered and all your contact information is verified. The course will be taught over zoom and participants must be using a computer. Cellphones and tablets will not work. You will be required to show your ID to the instructor during the class. We will limit our classes to 30 people per class and it is first come, first serve on enrollment. Check with your state or local health department to ensure your state will accept your certification if obtained virtually.
A passing score of 75% on the final exam is required for certification.
