Renewal and Transfer Options

There are different renewal options depending on the level of certification.  Also, you can transfer to our certifications if you have a valid certification by an organization approved in your state. 

The Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician (LAFT) certification can be renewed by the following methods: 

1) successfully pass the renewal test online

2) successfully pass the renewal test by mail order

3) successfully pass the renewal test during a classroom course

4) complete the entire course again either online self-paced, online live, or classroom

The National Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician (NLAFT) can be renewed by either of the following:

1) successfully completed the LAFT course either online self-paced, online live, or classroom

2) attend the second day of a NLAFT course either online live or classroom and pass the test at the end of the day

3) complete the entire NLAFT course either online self-paced, online live, or classroom

How to transfer your certification

If you currently have a valid, unexpired certification that is recognized by your state and it is not a national certification you can transfer to our LAFT certification using any of our recertification methods for our LAFT certification. 

If you currently have a valid, unexpired national certification from another organization you can transfer to our National Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician certification using any of our recertification methods for our NLAFT certification or you can transfer to our LAFT certification using any of our recertification methods for our LAFT certification.
